“This Saturday Santa Monica plays host to a debut of sorts,” writes Owen Taylor from Los Angeles. “The Mac (Juxtapoz #103) and Retna (Juxtapoz #78), twin titans in the art world, bring their mural game indoors for their first exclusive dual ‘solo’ show at the Robert Berman gallery at the Bergamont Station Arts Center.”

“The show will highlight their individual efforts with two new collaborative pieces at center stage. The duo’s works are familiar to both Los Angelinos and the world for their stunning blend of both traditional and progressive styles, incorporating Mac’s iconic imagery with Retna’s calligraphic handstyles in a way that only two veteran graffiti stalwarts could muster.
