Franco Brambilla is an Italian illustrator devoted to sci-fi. He’s the founder of Airstudio, a common playground of creativity, which produces collective illustrations, graphic and musical works. Franco has been one of the main illustrators of the “Urania” sci-fi book collection by Mondadori. He received the “Best Artist” Award at Eurocon 2009, and his “Cute Little Aliens” have been spotted in Wired, Sunday Telegraph, and Juxtapoz Magazines since their first arrival on Earth in 2007.
About Franco Brambilla’s selected work for his billboard; “The Urania Take Off” Franco was asked by the editor of a collection of short novels by young Chinese sci-fi writers to synthesize an image the spirit of the book. Franco explains that his image depicts; “A big red ship with the stars of the Chinese flag melted in the structure leaving a devastated world seeking for a new place to restart”
