JB: I’ve always loved comics as a little kid but I really started to get into the illustration side after I got out of the Marine Corps (circa 1992). I even started my own small press publication company (Anubis Press) for a few years after that.
AP: Did you study graphic design or are you self taught?
JB: No formal schooling…. self taught. Oh, my Mom was a really good artists too… so, I guess it’s also in my genes.
AP: How long have you been into electronic dance music and when did you start Djing?
JB: I’ve been into the EDM scene way back since the 80’s (Depeche Mode, NIN, Prodigy, etc) but I only really started DJing a little over a years ago.
AP: Who are some of your favorite electronic dance music DJ’s to see live and why?
JB: My favorite DJ to see live is Tiesto. His events are always massive - impressive light shows, booming sound system, great music, and an amazing audience vibe!

AP: Your very into cars if you could have any car what would it be?
JB: BMW M5… I can go fast if I want but it’s still a practical car that seats 5 passengers comfortably. Ha!
AP: Which five movies have had the most influence on your work?
JB: Easy - The Matrix, Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll, Blade Runner, and 5th Element!
AP: What are your top favorite songs to create work to?
JB: I don’t have one specific song but I love listening to podcasts - Tiesto’s “Club life”, Armin van Buuren’s “A State of Trance”, and Above & Beyond’s “Trance Around the World” being my top three.
